From someone who has experience in doing so, about how much should i have saved up? If I stay in Hostels and all that fun stuff? Thanks!

Ok, here’s the deal, I just graduated high school and my college plans are in the process of failing me. I want to work har, save up money and take a very LONG trip through Europe probably by myself (unless I can find a travel partner). Is there anyone who has done this and is willing to give advice. I’m looking through Eurrail, planes, bikes, and buses, and what I have determined is that whatever is cheapest in that area is the best. I’m thinking of flying large distances, and renting a bike to travel around cities and smaller areas. Does anyone have any suggestions??
