I’ve never been out of the USA before and I’m going to Australia for a month.
It has been suggested that I get travel insurance for medical coverage – just in case I get sick or hurt on the trip. Not planning to go rock climbing or anything like that – but you never know.
Can anyone give me information???

I know about the passport but what else?

I am traveling for about 1.5 months from Mexico, then to Australia and finally in Fiji. I was wondering if someone experienced with prolonged travel could tell me if I should use a cargo style large bag or if a Kelty/ North Face, large style backpack would do the trick. I won’t be doing anything majorly strenuous but there will be camping involved and as I said, I will be away for about 1.5 months. Thanks.

I’m getting a passport booklet this saturday, and then applying for an ETA visa. My dad also mentioned it’s strongly cautioned to get a rubella shot. Are there any others things i need to know?
Please only give me advice if you’ve been there recently. Things may have changed if you went there 20 years ago, you know?

I live in Argentina, which is a country in South America. I’ll move to Europe next year so I’m not interested in traveling Europe at the time. The trip will be a graduation present from my parents. Also, there’s a girl in Australia that I’d like to meet. I love beaches and nature but SF, NYC and LA sound like pretty exciting places. I’ve never been to either the US or Australia. I’m going on a 2 week vacation and want to be able to charge up my MP3 player and cell phone…do I need a converter for that? If so, where can I get one?
